
Bikes in Amsterdam are more that just means of transport. It's
part of a national mindset. Some parts of the old city were just
not designed for cars. Combine that with outrageous parking prices
and you get quite a reasonable argument to leave the car back
home.

snows.

bags. Its truly amazing how much crap you could carry on a reguar
bike. Some skilled dutchmen are even able carrying light pieces of
furniture.
